Since 1958, the Irish Mining and Quarrying Society (IMQS) has provided a focal point for those working in the extractive industry in Ireland.
We would like to continue this support by offering financial assistance to individuals studying to gain a qualification, or a working individual improving their knowledge in a subject, related to the Mining, Quarrying or Extractives Industries.
There are two bursaries of €1,000.
To apply, simply submit a 500-word essay describing your interest in the extractive industry and how the award could benefit you.
On selection of appropriate candidates, an IMQS panel will then interview the successful applicants.
Closing date for submissions; 17:00 – Wednesday 31st July 2024.
Please ensure you fulfil the eligibility criteria before you begin the application process.
