Woodsmith Mine is a deep potash and ployhalite mine located near Whitby in North Yorkshire, England.

To extract the ore, a series of vertical and horizontal excavations are underway.

When operational, the mine will be the deepest in Europe and have the longest tunnel in Great Britain.

Redpath Deilmann are the shaft sinking contractor. Joseph Gallagher Ltd are the Blasting Contractor.
