In response to workload and new projects from a range of clients, we are seeking to recruit an additional member to the team.

Location:

Based in Downpatrick, N. Ireland, the work will be mainly office-based but will also involve visiting various site/project locations and therefore a full driving licence and the ability to travel is essential throughout Ireland, the UK and further afield, when required.

Role:

Quarryplan is seeking a Senior Planning Consultant on a full time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will be joining the senior team, providing high quality planning consultancy advice to a range of clients.

The role will include:

  • Management of Mineral, Waste and Renewable planning projects
  • Project costing and budgeting;
  • Local Development Plan Representations;
  • Planning  Appeals and Enforcement;
  • Production and coordination of Environmental Impact Assessments;
  • Review and comment on technical reports;
  • Company Representation at planning committees and public consultation events;
  • Business development and Strategic Planning
  • Developing new and existing client relationships.

Requirements:

You will be required to be educated to degree level or hold a relevant planning/surveying qualification and a good knowledge of town planning legislation, policies, and procedures. The candidate will be a full member of the RTPI/RICS (or equivalent body). A minimum of five year’s relevant post qualification experience through industry, consultancy or the public sector is necessary.

This is an office based role, operating from our offices in Co. Down and  requires confident written and verbal communication to deliver planning advice.

The candidate will be self-motivated with excellent communication and problem solving skills, proven experience and the ability to manage a range of projects adhering to deadlines, and delivering high-quality results.

It will be necessary to live within 30 miles of the office, so if you want to live in a part of Ireland, which has the cheapest cost of living, more affordable housing and excellent schools, this may  be the job for you.

Salary & Benefits:
