The annual AME (the Association for Mineral Exploration) ‘Roundup’ mining convention will be hosted in Vancouver this January 20-23 while the Mining INDABA convention will take place in Cape Town on the first week of February. A number of IMQS members will be participating across both shows.
AME is the lead association for the mineral exploration and development industry based in British Columbia and its annual Roundup conference is a key event in the mining calendar attracting over 6,500 delegates. iCRAG (the Irish Centre for Research in Applied Geosciences) and Geoscience Ireland (the business cluster supported by Geological Survey Ireland) will represent the ‘Ireland Booth’ at the show joining fellow IMQS corporate members Equity Exploration, SLR Consulting, Golder and Mincon plc. as exhibitors; IMQS members Boliden and Dalradian Gold will also be attending. The Irish Consulate will host a business reception during the 4-day convention which will attract companies and stakeholders from West Canada with Irish interests.
Mining INDABA is Africa’s largest mining show and Irish companies have participated at the show for a number of years and we look forward to seeing our corporate members Mincon plc., Geoscience Ireland, Golder, SLR Consulting and CDE Global, and the international arms of CAT and Epiroc, at the show. The Irish companies will be supported by Enterprise Ireland and the Department of Foreign Affairs at the event.
